This
site is created
to remedy some of the shortcomings of the academic discipline of
"International
Relations" which traditionally covers the political relations between
nation-states.
Global Human Dynamics lay far beyond those parameters. The September
11,
2001 terrorist suicide crashes into the World Trade Center in New York
and the Pentagon in Washington made that abundantly clear.
The discipline
of Global
Human Dynamics delves into the values which inspired the terrorists to
blow themselves and others up, the value systems whose symbols they
attacked,
and the complex networks which generate those values.
The site
includes a syllabus.
It lays down the outline for a "factors" approach to the study of
global
human dynamics. It is also a book project. For now, two chapters of the
manuscript are in presentable shape and are included on the site.
Chapter
two constitutes the backbone of the factors approach. We'll add
more
chapters as we go along. We shall also, occasionally, post pertinent
links,
articles and commentaries to the site.
